SEREN MYRTUS / ASTARIA ELIUS HOME: LANSING, MICHIGAN | USA ABILITIES: EIDETIC MEMORY | 'GALATEAN' | STELLAR MANIPULATION TRAITS: ENERGETIC | LIVELY | ANXIOUS | CREATIVE BACKGROUND Bright, charming, and exuberant — That’s how many wish to remember Astaria Elius, the Star Arcana, torn away too soon. She had her whole life before her: A position in the esteemed Major Arcana. A reputation of being one of the most beloved of the Arcana. A happy engagement with the Magician. Then the war between the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana came and she was killed, struck down in her attempts to prevent it from boiling over. Ironically, her death ended up becoming the catalyst for the groups to break apart, with the Minor fleeing after being accused for her death and the Major struggling to not fall apart at the wake of all the tragedies that befell them. Then her visage and name was given to a statue, given life by magic from her creator, a sculptor who was allied to the Major Arcana and who mourned her death intensely since they were friends. Knowing both they and she will be punished for these turn of events, the sculptor fled into the mundane world, statue by their side. The sculptor has long since passed and the statue — currently going under the alias Seren Mytrus — is living her life over and over again. She moves from country to country, town to town, family to family willing to take her in as their own until they notice she never ages, never grows. ‘Astaria’ is now residing in Michigan with an elderly couple happy to call her their daughter, injecting a much needed boost of life and energy she needs as she works as a Teaching Assistant, trying to keep herself from drawing notice from those who can tell there’s more to her than meets the eye.
